Climbing the Ehrwalder Sonnenspitze (2417m), August 2017. After ascending an easy and well-trodden path to the Seeben lake and on the Drachen lake at the Coburger Hut, the path leaves the simple terrain and ascends steeply near the southern ridge of the Sonnenspitze. Some climbing parts up to roughly UIAA II are included, once or twice slightly exposed. Mostly firm rock and overall very enjoyable climbing.
We descended along the easier path down the northern ridge back to the Seeben lake and down to Ehrwald again.
